dc.description.abstract	인구증가율이 크게 둔화되고 가까운 미래에 인구가 본격적인 감소 국면에 진입할 것으로 전망되는 것과 반대로, 가구는 지속적인 증가세를 보이는 동시에 1인 가구의 급격한 증가 등 가구의 구조 또한 기존과는 다른 양상을 보여 주고 있다. 이 연구는 인구 고령화가 가속화되고 인구증가율이 정체 국면에 도달한 2000~2020년을 대상으로 가구변동의 인구학적 맥락을 살펴보고 지난 20년간 진행된 가구 수 증가의 요인을 분석하였다. 특히 가구의 증가를 독립적으로 가구를 형성하는 가구주율의 변화와 연령-혼인상태별 인구분포의 변화로 구분하여 가구변동의 인구학적 맥락을 이해하고자 하였다. 가구변동의 표준화-분해 분석 결과는 과거 20년에 걸친 가구 수 증가의 대략 1/3이 독립된 가구를 형성하는 가구주율의 증가에 기인하며, 대략 2/3가 절대적 인구 증가와 연령별 및 혼인상태별 인구 구성에서의 변화에 기인함을 보여 주었다. 가구주율 증가의 효과는 65세 이상 사별(이혼) 집단(특히 여성)과 20대 미혼 집단에서 크게 나타나는 모습을 보였다. 반면에 인구분포의 효과는 고령화되는 베이비붐 세대 등의 영향을 반영하여 50대 이상의 중장년 및 노인 인구에서 상대적으로 뚜렷하게 관측되었다.
dc.description.abstract	This study analyses the demographic context and factors of household change over the period 2000-2020. In particular, the increase in the number of households is decomposed into headship rate changes and changes in population distribution to understand the demographic context of household change. The standardization-decomposition analysis shows that approximately one-third of the household growth over the past 20 years is due to the increase in the propensities of persons to form separate households, and roughly two-thirds is due to population growth and changes in the age and marital status distribution. The effect of the increase in the headship rate was strongest among widowed/divorced persons (especially women) aged 65+ and never-married persons in their 20s. On the other hand, the effect of population distribution is more pronounced in the middle-aged and elderly population aged 50+, reflecting the impact of aging baby boomers.
