Managing and Using Data on the Community Social Security Plan

Abstract

With the importance of data-based policymaking growing, using data is increasingly considered essential to policy management in establishing and evaluating the Community Social Security Plan. The relevant law stipulates that the Center for Community Welfare Policy collect, manage, and provide data on the Community Welfare Plan. While these functions are an important part of the foundation for making and implementing evidence-based social security policies at local levels, the data, because of the limitations in its quality and the way it is managed, has not been utilized to its full potential. This study evaluates the quality of the data and discusses how the management and use the data can be improved.
