Abstract
Most of the studies on poverty measurement and evaluation have assumed the households’ equivalence scale for considering the different needs of heterogenous households. Such assumption, however, affects the composition of poor households and the effect of poverty alleviation by household type. This study investigates the usefulness and necessity of SPD (Sequential Poverty Dominance) in acquiring robust measurement and evaluation.
