Abstract
1980년대에 가정폭력이 사회문제로 대두되기 시작하면서 범국가차원의 대응방안이 다각적으로 마련되어 왔다. 이러한 노력은 1995년에 여성발전기본법에 가정폭력예방에 관한 규정을 마련하는 발전을 하였고, 1997년 말에는 제11차 여성정책기본계획에 가정폭력이 주요 정책과제로 설정되어 가정폭력 피해자 보호조치를 강화하였다.
