dc.description.abstract	치매공공후견사업은 2018년 법률 개정을 통해 치매로 인한 인지능력 저하로 의사결정의 어려움을 경험하는 이들의 존엄성 및 자기결정권을 보장하기 위한 목적으로 운영되기 시작하였다. 이 글에서 치매공공후견사업의 운영 현황을 살펴본 결과 제도의 활용은 여전히 제한적 수준에 머물러 있는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 치매공공후견사업의 개선을 위하여 치매공공후견사업 운영 전달 체계와 관련한 단계적 정비, 후견인의 전문성 강화를 위한 체계적인 교육 제공, 사회 전반의 후견 제도에 대한 인식 제고, 중장기적 관점에서 후견 지원의 지속성과 현실적 수요 간의 균형 모색 등을 제안하였다.
dc.description.abstract	Since the 2018 amendments to the relevant law, the Public Guardianship Program for People with Dementia has been implemented with the aim of protecting the dignity and self-determination of individuals experiencing cognitive decline due to dementia. However, the current implementation remains limited in scope. This report proposes several directions for improvement, including stepwise adjustments to the delivery system, systematic training to enhance guardians’ competency, increased public awareness of guardianship systems, and strategies to align support with actual needs over the medium to long term.
