Social Services for End-of-life Support

Abstract

This study aims to broaden the scope of existing discussions and policies on end-of-life services to ensure dignified end-of-life care and death for diverse service recipients within the social welfare sector. The study focused on self-determination support, end-of-life care, and funeral and burial support, and conducted policy analysis, interviews with end-of-life service recipients, and focus group interviews (FGIs) with end-of-life service providers. The study suggests expanding end-of-life services, improving the fragmented service delivery system, strengthening service support and medical-welfare linkages in the community, and improving information accessibility.
