A Study on the Management and Utilization of Health and Welfare Research Data : Focusing on Research Data Management Cases in KIHASA

Abstract

To enhance the integrated management and use of research data in the field of health and welfare, this study reviewed the research data management and utilization of research institutes, including the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA). Based on our findings, we discussed directions for research data management, research data management procedures, the roles of key stakeholders, quality management and personal information protection, and measures to promote data reuse in the field of health and welfare. This study suggests fostering collaboration among research institutions to promote open data, enhancing flexibility in data provision methods, and expanding platforms for research data provision.
