Abstract
In recent years, disasters have become increasingly large and have caused significant social damage. In particular, people from lower social classes are more vulnerable to disasters, and government support to compensate for their individual vulnerability is not sufficient. Basic statistics on disasters are essential in order to accurately analyze the impact of recurrent disasters and establish policies to protect vulnerable populations. This study aims to propose a disaster statistics calculation and monitoring system that can identify disaster losses and disparities by social class. In order to prepare disaster statistics that can serve as a basis for the preparation of advanced disaster safety measures, this study proposes disaster statistics targets, a list of disaster statistics, and measures to improve disaster statistics. This can be an answer to the question of who and what statistics can be utilized to protect people's health from disasters, and how such statistics can be produced.
