Abstract
Korea is the only OECD country that doesn't have an income protection scheme for workers in the event of a non-work-related illness or injury. Going through the pandemic, however, people begant to feel the need for a sick pay scheme. The government, in response, assured that it would introduce one. Starting this July, sick pay will be introduced as a pilot project and gradually expanded. Let's find out more.
