Abstract
This study aimed to monitor the policies on the work and social activities of the aged people and to suggest improvement plans for a super-aged society. For the economic activities of the aged people, it is necessary to expand the age group of the current employment support policy for those in 50s and 60s to those aged 65 or older. And there should be a plan to solve the employment insecurity of the elderly. Along with them, it is necessary to actively intervene in the age discrimination in labour market and actively utilize ICT technology to improve the working environment and support supplementary equipment for increasing productivity of the senior workers. For the social activities of the aged people, policies should be set up for diversification and specialization of social activities, and accessibility and professionalism of senior education should be secured by expanding the related infrastructures. In order to revitalize volunteer activities for the elderly, it is necessary to strengthen education and training for volunteers and prepare customized leisure programs suitable for the characteristics of the elderly.
