| dc.description.abstract | 이 글에서는 유럽 국가와 한국의 소비지출 및 소득 대비 교통비·통신비 부담 수준을 확인하기 위해 유럽의 가구지출설문(Household Budget Survey) 자료와 한국의 가계동향조사 자료를 활용하여 유럽 8개국과 한국을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 가계 지출에서 교통비 및 통신비 부담을 감소하는 방안을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 분석 결과, 한국과 비교 대상 국가에서 대부분 소비지출 대비 10% 이상의 교통비를 지출하고 있는 등 비슷한 양상을 보였다. 소득 분위가 높을수록 소비지출 대비 교통비 부담 수준이 높아지는데, 이는 교통비 항목에 대중교통 이용 외에도 자동차 구입 비용이 포함되어 나타난 현상으로 추측할 수 있다. 통신비 부담 비교에서는 전체 가구 기준 소비지출 대비 통신비 부담이 한국은 5.7%로 비교 대상 국가 중에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 소득 분위가 낮을수록 소비지출 대비 통신비 부담 수준이 높아지며, 한국은 다른 국가들에 비해 그 부담이 크게 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 교통·통신비 부담 완화를 위한 정책을 제안하고자 한다. |
| dc.description.abstract | This study compared the transportation and communication expenses of Korea and 8 European welfare states using the Korea’s Household Income and Expenditure Survey and the European Union’s Household Budget Survey in 2015. From its findings, this study derives a plan to reduce the household burden of transportation and communication costs. The transportation cost burden as a share of consumption expenditure for all households was in the 12 to 17% range in all countries compared, including Korea. The higher the income quintile, the higher the level of transportation cost burden was as a percentage of consumption expenditure. The household telecommunications cost burden as a share of consumption expenditure was higher in Korea (at 5.7%) than in any other country examined in this study. The lower the income quintile, the higher the transportation cost burden was as a share of consumption expenditure. Based on the results of this analysis, we proposed a policy to alleviate the burden of transportation and communication costs. |
