Abstract
우리나라 전체 및 지역별 인구변동을 심층적으로 모니터링하고 그 결과를 해석할 수 있는 인구모니터링 체계를 제안하고, 시범적으로 작성하여 실제 인구 모니터링 사업을 추진 시 유의할 사항들을 제시하였다.

인구모니터링은 단순한 인구지표의 작성이 아닌, 인구변동의 현황과 그 구체적 진행을 분해하여 심층적으로 분석하고 그 결과에 대한 해석을 제시할 수 있어야 한다. 가용한 데이터의 특성과 한계 등을 인식하고 인구모니터링이 추구하는 목적에 맞춰 그 체계가 마련되어야 한다.
