Abstract
Many migrant workers work in a more dangerous and vulnerable environment than domestic workers, and the recent outsourcing of risks prevalent in our society has led to the "migration of risks." The fact that occupational accidents and deaths among migrant workers are much higher than those among Korean workers and that the proportion of migrant workers in the total number of fatal accidents continues to increase attests to this reality. The current status of occupational safety and health issues of migrant workers point to the need for more active policy steps to ensure institutional improvements for their health and safety.
