Abstract
The Korea Health Panel (KHP) Survey is a longitudinal study designed to examine medical service use, out-of-pocket healthcare payments, and uninsured medical services. The lst KHP Survey provided 11 waves of data for the years between 2008 and 2018, and the 2nd KHP will provide panel data from 2019, using a new sample extracted from 2016 registered Census data. The 2nd Korea Health Panel (KHP) Survey was intended to provide a continuous data, reflecting the changing medical service use and the context surrounding it. KHP has provided and will continue to provide valuable data for healthcare expenditure and service use in Korea.
