아동급식은 단순희 한끼 식사를 제공하고 끝나는 문제가 아니라 자라나는 아동들에게 우리 사회가 아직은 남을 배려하는 따뜻한 마음이 남아 있다는 것을 일깨우는 기회가 되었다고 본다
