dc.description.abstract	본 연구는 생명을 위협하는 질환으로 치료 중인 아동청소년 환자의 소아완화의료 심리정서지원 프로그램 참여 경험을 국내 소아완화의료 맥락 속에서 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 치료 중 소아완화의료 프로그램 참여 경험이 있는 아동청소년의 주 보호자인 부모를 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였으며, 이를 통해 수집한 여섯 사례를 구성주의 패러다임에 근거한 사례연구를 적용하여 사례분석을 실시하고 전체 사례에서 공통적으로 드러난 주제들을 발견하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 치료과정의 경험으로 ‘질병의 발견과 치료의 시작’, ‘사회적 관계 변화’, ‘일그러져 가는 마음 속’, ‘마음, 몸, 경제자원의 소진’을 경험함을 확인하였고, 소아완화의료 심리정서지원 프로그램 참여 경험으로는 ‘치료 상황에 대한 변화된 인식’, ‘사회적 관계의 회복’, ‘환아 정서의 긍정적 변화’, ‘소진 경험의 변화’라는 특징적인 주제가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 생명을 위협하는 질병으로 치료 중인 아동청소년 환자와 가족이 겪는 어려움을 해결하기 위한 지원방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 제시한 결과를 근거로 소아완화의료 심리정서지원 프로그램 기획 및 구축을 통해 대상자의 수요에 적적한 실천 서비스를 제공하고 더 나아가 정책 개발에 있어 중요한 근거자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
dc.description.abstract	The purpose of this study is to explore experiences of child patients and their parent(s) before and after their participation of pediatric palliative psychosocial support program. We used a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 6 caregiving parents from October 2014 to June 2015. Qualitative analysis produced 24 semantic units, 8 subcategories, and 2 major categories. The first major category, ‘the experience of the treatment process’ includes: ‘discovery of disease and start of treatment’, ‘change in social relationships’, ‘distorted mind’, ‘exhaustion of mind, body, and economic resources’. The second major category, ‘the experience in the pediatric palliative psychosocial support program’, includes: ‘changed perception of treatment status’, ‘recovery of social relations’, ‘positive changes in patient emotions’, ‘changing in burnout experience’. In sum, it turned out that the pediatric palliative psychosocial support program alleviated the emotional, physical, and economical burden of caregivers of children who were in treatment for life-threatening diseases. Discussions and implications were provided based on these findings.
