| dc.description.abstract | 전자담배 유해성이 지속적으로 보고 되는 상황과 더불어 청소년 전자담배 사용률도 계속해서 증가하고 있다. 담배회사들은 전자담배가 금연에 도움이 된다는 메시지를 활용해 청소년 흡연자들을 유혹하고 있지만, 전자담배의 금연효과에 대해서는 의견이 분분하다. 한편, 전자담배 등장으로 인해 기존에 시행되던 흡연 예방 및 규제 정책은 도전을 맞고 있으며, 기존 정책을 통하여 전자담배 역시 일반담배와 유사하게 예방 및 규제될 수 있을지에 대해서는 의문이 제기되는 상황이다. 이런 상황에서 본 연구는, 개인적･사회적 요인들이 청소년 사용 담배유형(전자담배와 일반담배)에 어떻게 영향을 끼치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 가정 경제상태, 가정 내 및 학교 실내 간접흡연, 담뱃갑 경고그림을 통한 금연의지가 높아질수록, 일반담배에 비하여 전자담배 사용 가능성이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 공공장소 내 간접흡연일 수, 최근 30일 동안 담배구매 용이성이 증가할수록 일반 담배보다 전자담배 사용 가능성이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 청소년 흡연 예방 및 규제를 위한 정책적･실천적 함의를 제공하고자 하였다. |
| dc.description.abstract | Even though a large number of studies have reported the harm of e-cigarettes, the prevalence of use of e-cigarettes have been increasing. E-cigarette companies try to attract adolescents to by claiming that e-cigarettes are a way to quit smoking; however, it is uncertain that e-cigarettes help smoking cessation. In addition, existing smoking prevention and anti-smoking policies are facing a challenges due to appearance of e-cigarettes. Questions are being asked regarding the effectiveness of the existing policies on e-cigarettes. Thus, this study aims to examine individual and social factors that influence Korean adolescents’ choice of the type of cigarettes they use. Adolescents who use e-cigarettes have higher family economic status, more experience of secondhand smoke at home and school, cessation intention raised by cigarette pack warning pictures. On the other hand, the number of days of secondhand smoke in public places, and ease of cigarette purchase were negatively associated with the use of e-cigarettes. Lastly, implications for smoking prevention and anti-smoking policies among adolescents were discussed. |
