Abstract: 본 연구는 중소병원 수술실 간호사들의 환자안전문화인식, 조직의사소통만족 및 환자안전관리활동 정도를 파악하고 환자안전관리활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 시도하였다. B광역시 소재, 100병상 이상 300병상 미만의 중소 병원 17곳의 수술실 간호사 152명의 자가보고형 설문 자료가 분석에 이용되었고 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 24.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 중소병원 수술실 간호사들의 환자안전문화인식은 3.23±0.34점, 조직의사소통만족은 3.26±0.36점이었으며 환자안전관리활동은 4.52±0.46점이었다. 환자안전관리활동은 환자안전문화인식(r=.26, p=001), 조직의사소통만족(r=.25, p=003)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 다중회귀분석 결과 조직의사소통만족(β=.22, p=.005), 안전사고경험(β=-.18, p=.020) 및 외과수술담당(β=-.23, p=.004)이 수술실 간호사들의 환자안전관리활동에 영향을 주는 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 본 결과를 통해 중소병원 수술실 간호사들의 환자안전관리활동의 증진을 위해서는 환자안전활동에 대한 간호사 교육 뿐 아니라 조직의사소통의 개선을 위한 조직적이고 체계적인 지원과 노력이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of perception of patient safety culture, intra-organizational communication satisfaction, patient safety nursing activities and factors influencing patient safety nursing activities among operating room nurses in small medium-sized hospitals. A descriptive correlational study was conducted with 147 operating room nurses from small and medium sized hospitals in B metropolitan city. Data were collected with self-reported questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS win 24.0 program. The results of this study were as follows: The mean scores for perception of patient safety culture, intra-organizational communication satisfaction, and patient safety nursing activities were 3.23±0.34, 3.26±0.36 and 4.52±0.46, respectively. Patient safety nursing activities among operating room nurses were positively correlated in intra-organizational communication satisfaction (r=.25, p=003) and the perception of patient safety culture (r=.26, p=001). Factors influencing patient safety nursing activities among operating nurses in small medium-sized hospitals were general surgery in charge (β=-.23, p=.004), intra-organizational communication satisfaction (β=.22, p=.005), and experience with safety accident (β=-.18, p=.020). The findings suggest that to improve the patient safety nursing activities, systemic support should be given to improve intra-organizational communication as well as education for nurses.
