Abstract
일본에서는 2019년 10월 소비세율을 8%에서 10%로 인상함과 동시에 유아교육 및 보육에 대한 무상화 정책을 실시한다. 이 글에서는 일본의 유아교육 및 보육 무상화 정책에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 먼저 일본의 아동보육 및 교육체제와 2015년부터 실시한 '아동, 육아 지원 신제도'를 설명한다. 이어 무상화 정책의 내용 및 향후 과제에 대해 설명하고자 한다.
