Effects of Organizational Communication and Team Work on the Perception of Importance and Activities on Patient Safety in General Hospital Employees

| dc.description.abstract | 본 연구는 병원종사자가 지각하는 조직 의사소통, 팀워크, 환자안전관리 중요성 인식 및 환자안전보장활동 정도를 파악하고 환자안전관리 중요성 인식과 환자안전보장활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. B광역시 2개 종합 병원종사자 450명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 23.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 병원종사자들의 조직 의사소통은 평균 3.26±0.42점(5점 만점), 팀 워크는 3.65±0.50점(5점 만점), 환자안전관리 중요성 인식은 3.74±0.50점(5점 만점), 환자안전보장활동은 4.07±0.59점(5점)이었으며, 모든 변수들 간에는 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 병원종사자의 환자안전관리 중요성 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 연령대(40세 이상), 직종(행정), 부서(접점부서), 10년 이상의 근무경력, 지침서 구비(있다), 조직 의사소통, 팀워크로 나타났으며 24.2% (F=21.481, p<.001)의 설명력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 병원종사자의 환자안전보장활동에 영향을 미치는 요인은 팀워크, 직종(행정), 근무경력(3~5년), 부서(접점부서)로 22.8%(F=34.234, p<.001)의 설명력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 병원종사자의 환자안전관리 중요성의 인식과 환자안전보장활동을 향상시키기 위해서는 직종과 부서를 고려한 효율적인 조직 의사소통과 팀워크에 대한 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다. |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of organizational communication and team work on perception of importance and activities on patient safety in general hospital employee. The survey was performed with 450 hospital employees working in 2 hospitals in B City. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed with the SPSS/Win 23.0 program. The results of the survey were as follows. The levels of organizational communication, team work, perception of importance on patient safety management and patient safety assurance activities were 3.26, 3.65, 3.74 and 4.07 respectively out of a 5-point scale. There was a statistically significant positive relationship between variables. The significant factors that influence perception of importance on patient safety management were age (>40years), occupation(administration), contact department, work experience (>10years), guidebook (have), organizational communication and team work which explained 24.2% (F=21.481, p<.001) of perception of importance on patient safety management. The significant factors that influence patient safety assurance activities were occupation (administration), contact department, work experience (3-5 years), team work which explained 22.8% (F=34.234, p<.001) of patient safety assurance activities. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply effective organizational communication and teamwork programs to improve patient safety assurance activities for hospital employees. |
