A Study of type of living arrangement and intergenerational support exchange : Focusing on the impact of intergenerational support exchange on the depression of the elderly

Abstract

본 연구는 노인이 부양의 대상에서 자녀에게 지원을 제공하는 대상으로 변화되고 있는 사회적 현상을 반영하여, 노년기 자녀와의 지원교환이 어떠한 유형으로 이루어지고 있는지를 살펴보기 위해, 자녀와의 동거유형에 따라 집단을 구분하여 유형화하였다. 이를 통해, 동거유형별 지원교환유형이 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며, 2014년도 노인실태조사 데이터를 활용하여 잠재집단분석(LCA), 기초분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 동거유형별 지원교환유형 도출을 위해 동거유형은 동거, 동거-비동거 복합, 비동거 세 개의 집단으로 구분하였다. 동거집단은 3개, 동거-비동거 복합집단은 5개, 비동거 집단은 5개의 지원교환 유형이 도출되었으며, 동거유형별 지원교환유형의 차이가 검증되었다. 또한, 동거집단별 자원교환유형이 우울에 미치는 영향은 상호교환형에 비하여 자녀와의 자원교환이 어느 한쪽에 집중된 경우 우울이 높았다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 노인세대와 자녀세대의 건강한 지원교류를 위한 통합적 관점의 복지정책 수립과 동시에 개별욕구에 대한 고려 필요성을 제언하였다.

This study was carried out to reflect the changing social phenomenon of elderly people as a source of resources for their children in the supportive care. In order to identify this, the group categorized groups by classifying them according to the type of do. Moreover, the effect of type of resource exchange by the types of cohabitation on the depression was examined. To this end, latent class analysis(LCA), basic analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using the original data of Living Profiles and Welfare Service Needs of Older Persons in Korea 2014. The type of cohabitation is divided into three groups: cohabitation, the composite group of cohabitation and non - cohabitation, and non - cohabiting. The cohabitation group consists of three groups, and the cohabitation and non - cohabiting group consists of five groups. The non - cohabiting group consisted of five groups. Finally, differences in the type of support exchange by type of cohabitation were verified. The effect of the type of resource exchange on the depressed group on the basis of the interchangeable type is higher for the cohabiting group, the dependent on the economy, appear. Based on these results, the policy proposals were made so that the welfare policies and the individual needs can be considered from the viewpoint of the integration for the healthy exchange between the elderly generation and the child generation.
