Abstract
2000년에 5백만 가구에 불과했던 중국 중산층은 오늘날에 2억2천5백만 가구로 늘어났으며, 2020년까지 5천만 가구가 더해질 것으로 전망된다. 경제 둔화로 미래에 대한 불확실성이 커지자 어렵게 얻은 경제적 지위를 보호받기 위해 중국 중산층은 개인의 권리 신장과 든든한 사회안전망을 요구하기 시작했다.
