Abstract
With the development of communication technology, various issues concerning food safety are spreading rapidly through social networks, feeding consumer
anxiety. But there have been little studies of the communicational aspect of the food safety and consumer anxiety.
In this study, we analyzed public awareness toward food safety and compared it with public anxiety levels, using social network big data. We suggested
communication strategies that can minimize public discontent with government food safety policies.
