Abstract
The purposes of this study were to examine the perceived level of age integration, and to find out variables affecting age integration by three different age groups. We used survey data collected from 1,000 adults who are aged 20 and over. ANOVA and multiple regression analysis were performed to answer the research questions. Major findings of this study were as follows: 1) the perceived level of age integration varied across age groups, 2) there was a negative relationship between age and perception of age integration, 3) community accessibility and familism were significant predictors of explain age integration, 4) social participation was a statistically significant factor for explain age integration only in the 45-64 age group. However, discrimination experiences due to age were not related to perception of age integration. Suggestions for age integration and constructions for age integrated society have been proposed.
