Service Quality for the Disabled on the based SERVQUAL and Effect of Provider Characteristics on Service Quality: Focused on Daily Support Services for Severly Disabled Adults

Abstract

Purpose of this study is, first a development of a scale of service quality for severly disabled adults on the based SERVQUAL. Second, a exploitative analysis about effects of organization level on the service quality, with compare to effects of individual level. The data were collected as multilevel data in a individual level(700 person) and in a organization level(70 center). First, a reliability of the wervice quality scale, which was developed from SERVQUAL, was proved. Second the adequacy of adaption the hierarchical linear model to the study data was proved in verifying the organization effect on the service quality. Second, according to the result of analysing the hierarchical linear model, from the fixed effect analysis result, sex, disability grade, information degree, from the interaction effect analysis result, ‘sex and expertness’, ‘disability grade and average wage of personnel’ affect significantly social service quality for severly disabled adults. From the results of these analyses, this study suggests finally a necessary of provider-side for the quality management, a importance of ‘participation’ as a scale item of service quality for the disabled, a necessary of a practice training of service persons before the service delivery.
