Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the risky and protective Factors that predict outcomes of gambling addiction of the gambling industry users at off-track betting place. The participants in this study included 167 off-track betting place users in C city. The prevalence rates of problem and pathological gambler were 84.8%. As the results of regression analysis, frequency of gambling has the significant effect on gambling addiction. Among the risky factors, alcohol addiction has the significant effect on gambling addiction. Among the protective factors, family relations, and self-esteem have significant effects on gambling addiction. In conclusion, The directions for psychosocial interventions for the gambling industry users were suggested.
