Qualitative Research for Patterns of Service Behaviors among Korean Public Health Nurses

Abstract

This study was done to explore patterns of service behaviors among public health nurses. The participants for this study were twenty public health nurses. Data were collected with interview and participatory observation in fieldwork. Data were analyzed using text analysis and taxonomic methods. Patterns of health behavior among participants were categorized by three focus: Field-based type, program planning type, and neutral type. Theses results of patterns of job behaviors can be helpful to develop of processes for decision-making in public health nurses and may contribute development of nurses"s competencies for health promotion.
