| dc.description.abstract | 본 연구는 건강의 절대적인 수준 향상 및 건강증진에 대한 사회적 관심 확대에도 불구하고, 노년기 건강 불평등이 심화되고 있다는 문제의식에서 출발하였다. 노년기 건강 불평등에 대한 심도 있는 논의를 위해 이들의 건강에 대한 다차원적인 이해와 우리나라 노인의 삶의 조건을 구성하는 다양한 사회적 불평등 요인 및 이들이 현재의 건강 수준의 격차를 유발하는 기제가 무엇인지를 밝혀내는 데 주력하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 현 단계에서 노인을 대상으로 강화해야 할 정책과 생애주기적 관점에서 인구고령화를 반영하여 지속적으로 관심을 기울여야 할 정책은 무엇인지 등에 대한 방향성을 제시하였다. 노년기 건강 불평등은 노인 본인 뿐 아니라 수발(예상)자의 삶과 우리 사회 전반에도 장기적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 점에서 지속적인 정책적 관심을 촉구하는 바이다. |
| dc.description.abstract | This research originated from an awareness of the issue that, despite heightened societal interest in elevating the absolute standards of health and promoting health enhancement, health disparities among the elderly are worsening. To facilitate a thorough discussion on health inequality in later life, the study concentrated on elucidating a multi-dimensional comprehension of their health and identifying diverse social inequality factors that shape the living conditions of older adults in our country, along with the mechanisms inducing disparities in current health status. Drawing from the findings, the study articulated strategic directions for policies that need to be intensified for the elderly at this juncture, and for policies that should consistently be a focus, taking into account the demographic aging from a life-course perspective. The study calls for persistent policy engagement, recognizing that health inequities in old age can have enduring impacts, not only on the seniors themselves but also on their prospective caregivers and the broader society. |
