dc.description.abstract	한국에서 출생아 감소와 인구 고령화로 대표되는 인구 현상이 급속하게 진행되면서 장기화되고 있다. 이러한 인구 구조 변화의 원인을 파악하고 대응 정책을 수립하기 위해서는 신뢰할 만한 인구 관련 조사데이터가 필요하다. 더 나아가 출산과 관련된 인식 및 가치관과 행동을 이해하기 위해서는 저출산을 경험하고 있는 다른 국가의 사례를 면밀하게 분석하는 것이 매우 유용하다. 이 글에서는 국제 비교가 가능하도록 설계된 인구조사로 ‘세대 및 성에 관한 실태조사(GGS: Generations & Gender Survey)를 살펴본다. 향후 신뢰할 만한 인구조사데이터를 생산하고 국제 비교를 통해 실효성 있는 정책 수립의 기초 자료를 제공하기 위해 현재 3년마다 수행되고 있는 횡단 조사인 ‘가족과 출산 조사’ (구 전국 출산력 및 가족보건·복지 실태조사)에 종단적 조사의 요소를 포함하거나 GGS에 참여하는 방안을 고려할 필요가 있다.
dc.description.abstract	The demographic transition in Korea, characterized by the decrease in births and population aging, has been extremely rapid. Reliable demographic data are needed to analyze demographic changes in Korea. Furthermore, to understand the values, attitudes, and behaviors related to fertility, it is beneficial to explore low-fertility situations in other countries. This study examines the Generations & Gender Survey (GGS), a demographic survey that enables international comparisons. It should be considered adding longitudinal elements in ‘The National Survey on Fertility and Family Health and Welfare’ or taking part in GGS, to implement and evaluate policies to respond to population change.
