한국형 자살 예방정보 이해력(Suicide Literacy) 척도 개발 및 타당도 검증

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 한국형 자살 예방정보 이해력 척도를 개발하는 것이다. 아직 국내에서 자살 예방정보 이해력 척도가 만들어지지 않은 상태이기 때문에, 서구권에서 개발된 기존 척도 문항들을 기반으로 탐색적 연구를 시도했다. 한편, 본 연구는 이미 개발된 척도를 번안하는 차원에서 한 단계 더 나아가 한국 사회의 자살률 감소에 도움을 줄 수 있는 문항을 구성하는 데 주안점을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌연구, 전문가 델파이 조사, 일반인 조사 등을 병행하는 단계적 연구 과정을 거쳐 진위형으로 구성된 척도를 개발했다. 본 연구에서는 척도 축소 과정을 거치며 명확한 답을 내리기 어려운 문항들을 삭제했다. 결과적으로, 초기 57개의 문항은 최종적으로 15개로 축소됐으며, 1)위기대응/예방, 2)위기신호, 3)위험요소 등 세 개의 요인을 구성했다. 본 연구에서 개발된 최종 척도는 자살과 관련한 정보 문항들이 배제되고, 위기 신호와 위기대응･예방에 대한 부분이 강화되었다. 본 연구는 한국 사람을 대상으로 자살 예방에 관한 지식을 탐색적으로 조사하고, 이에 대한 측정 도구를 개발한 첫 연구로서 학문적, 실천적 함의를 가진다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to measure suicide literacy. Based on the Scale of Suicide Literacy (LOSS), we attempted an exploratory study reflecting culture-specific items. This study focused on constructing items that can help reduce the suicide rate in Korean society. After compiling exploratory items based on the literature review and an online in-depth survey, we first extracted distinctive factors with a Delphi expert consultation. In this study, items that were difficult to answer clearly were deleted through the scale-reduction process. Then, based on another survey of 552 adults, we conducted an exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The results yielded 3 factors with 15 items: 1) treatment/prevention, 2) risk factors, 3) signs. The final scale was strengthened items measuring treatment/prevention and signs. This study discussed the academic and practical implications of a Korean suicide literacy scale.
