대학생의 사회적 위축이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 공격성의 매개효과를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생의 사회적 위축과 삶의 만족도 간에 공격성의 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증함으로써 대학생의 삶의 만족도를 증진하는데 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 한국아동･청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 제7차년도 자료를 활용하여 대학생 1,348명을 대상으로 기술통계와 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Baron과 Kenny의 방법을 사용하였고, 매개효과의 유의성 검증방법으로 Sobel-test를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 사회적 위축이 높아질수록 삶의 만족도가 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 사회적 위축이 높아질수록 공격성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 공격성이 높아질수록 삶의 만족도가 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대학생의 공격성이 사회적 위축과 삶의 만족도 간에 통계적으로 유의한 매개변수로써의 역할을 하고 있음을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 사회적 위축과 공격성을 감소시키기 위한 방안을 모색하여 삶의 만족도를 증진시키기 위한 정책과 실천적인 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to substantially examine the mediating effect of aggression between college students’ social withdrawal and satisfaction with life to enhance their satisfaction with life. For this purpose, this study used the results of the 7th Korean Children·Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) to perform technical statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis for 1,348 college students. The methods of Baron and Kenny were used to verify the mediating effect and the Sobel-test was performed to verify the significance of the mediating effect. The findings of this study are as follows: first, it was found that greater social withdrawal of college students led to lower satisfaction with life. Second, greater social withdrawal of college students led to higher aggression. Third, higher aggression of college students lowered satisfaction with life. Fourth, college students' aggression was a statistically significant mediating variable between social withdrawal and satisfaction with life. Based on these findings, this study sought ways to reduce college students' social withdrawal and aggression and discussed policy and practical implications for enhancing their satisfaction with life.
