박탈경험과 불평등인식의 관계연구: 우울의 매개효과 검증

Abstract

본 연구는 경험된 실재로서의 불평등인 박탈경험과 불평등 인식 간의 관계 및 이들간의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 한국복지패널 8차 데이터(2013)를 활용하였고, 분석은 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 가구주 7,312명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 연구목적 검증을 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 분석방법을 사용하였고, Sobel Test를 통해 우울의 매개효과에 대한 추가검증을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 한국인의 박탈경험은 우울을 매개로 하여 불평등 인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 박탈경험은 직접적으로 불평등 인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 박탈경험이 우울을 매개로 불평등 인식에 영향을 미침과 동시에 직접적으로도 영향을 미치는 부분매개효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 불평등인식, 박탈 및 우울과 관련된 정책적ㆍ실천적 방안을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of deprivation on the perception of inequality and to investigate the mediating effects of depression on the relationship between deprivation and perception of inequality. A mediating analysis of Baron and Kenny was conducted to analyze the data which were derived from Wave 8 (2013) of the Korea Welfare Panel Data. Main results are the following: firstly, level of perception of inequality was higher as the deprivation level was higher. Secondly, level of depression concerning this relationship manifested the effect of mediating in parts. Through this conclusion, political and practical implication are suggested for the perception of inequality, depression, and deprivation of householder in Korea.
