- 증대되는 국민의 보건복지수요에 부응하는 정책수립 및 평가를 위해서는 다양하고 체계적인 그리고 세분화된 보건복지와 관련된 각종 통계정보가 필수적임. - 또한 점차 증대되고 있는 OECD, WHO 등 국제기구의 통계제출 요구에 보다 효율적으로 대응하고 외국과의 수준 비교를 용이하게 하기 위하여 관련 통계를 집중 관리할 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 함. - 새롭게 생산되는 각종 통계를 효율적으로 관리 정리하여 정책관리자 및 연구자들이 필요시 빠르고 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 하는 것은 정책수행 뿐만 아니라 연구의 효율적 수행을 위하여 필요함. - 따라서 보건복지관련 통계 중 활용성이 높은 통계를 중심으로 종합적이고 체계적으로 정리하고 이를 통한 한국의 보건복지동향을 분석할 필요성이 있음. - 본 연구는 이 우리나라의 보건복지지표를 지속적으로 개선ㆍ발전시켜 보건복지통계의 이용도를 제고하는 데 있음.
ㅁHealth and welfare statistics has been played important role in welfare society. Sophisticated statistics and indicators are indispensible to the formulation and evaluation of health and welfare policy. ㅁInternationally comparable statistics should be developed and managed in order to respond to the request of international organizations such as OECD and WHO. ㅁBy reviewing the published national statistics about health and welfare. It is needed to analyze trend of health and welfare status. In addition, it is required to introduce significant implications to the future of welfare state. ㅁThe goal of this study was to not only develop the quality of indicators about health and welfare but also enhance the appropriate and timely use of them.
