dc.description.abstract	최근 영국에서는 주택 가격 급등과 부실한 사회주택 관리 등으로 주택 문제가 중요한 이슈로 대두되었다. 이에 따라 영국 정부는 코로나바이러스감염증-19(이하 코로나19) 팬데믹으로 인한 가구소득 감소, 주거 불안 심화, 신규 주택 건설을 포함한 주택산업 침체가 주택 부문에 미칠 부정적 영향을 최소화하기 위하여 세입자 강제 퇴거 절차의 한시적 중지, 모기지 연체로 인한 주택 압류 금지 및 상환 일시 유예 등 주거 안정을 위한 정책을 신속하게 도입하였다. 또한 주택산업 침체를 막기 위한 수요자 지원 정책으로 취등록세 감면 정책도 시행하였다. 이러한 영국 사례는 일시적이고 급격한 여건 변화에 대응한 주거정책 수립과 관련하여 우리나라에도 유용한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
