고령친화환경이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향: 공동체의식의 매개효과 및 다집단 분석

Abstract

이 연구는 고령친화환경과 삶의 만족의 관계에서 공동체의식의 매개효과를 확인하고, 이들 관계가 연령집단에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 한국연구재단의 인문사회역량강화지원사업에서 진행된 ‘2017 연령통합설문조사’자료의 청년집단(18-44세) 303명, 중년집단(45-64세) 357명, 노년집단(65세 이상) 353명 등 1,013명을 대상으로 구조방정식의 다집단 분석방법으로 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 고령친화환경이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에서 공동체 의식의 매개효과가 집단 간에 차이가 나타났다. 연령별 차이를 살펴보면, 고령친화 환경이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에서 청년집단은 공동체의식의 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 중년집단은 부분매개를 통해 고령친화환경과 삶의 만족의 관계를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 노년집단에서는 매개효과가 나타나지 않았으나, 고령친화환경과 공동체의식이 삶의 만족에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 기반 하여 삶의 만족을 위해 공동체 의식 형성을 기반으로 하는 고령친화환경에 대해 정책적ㆍ실천적 제언을 하였다.

This study aims to examine the mediating role of sense of community in the relationship between age-friendly environment and life satisfaction. A total of 307 adolescences (age 18-44), middle-aged adults (age 45-64), and older adults (age over 65) were taken from the 2017 Survey On Age Integration, which was conducted as part of the Initiative for Humanities Research and Education with funding from the National Research Foundation of Korea, were analyzed using multiple-group analysis for structural equation modeling. The result of the study shows significant age group differences. First, in the effect of age-friendly environment on life satisfaction, sense of community had a mediating role. Second, the model showed a significant age group differences. The adolescent group showed a full mediation effect of sense of community, and the middle-aged group showed a partial mediation. The older group did not show any mediating effect, but age-friendly environment had a significant effect on life satisfaction. Policy and practical intervention methods to enhance the life satisfaction in the aging society were suggested based on the results of this study.
