dc.description.abstract	의약품 공급 중단은 환자의 시의적절한 약물 치료를 어렵게 함으로써 의학적 문제뿐만 아니라 경제적 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 미국은 2012년 의약품 공급 중단 문제에 대응하기 위해 기업의 의무와 정부의 역할을 법제화한 이후 제도 개선의 노력을 계속하고 있다. 코로나19 이후 필수의약품의 안정적 공급은 더욱 절박한 과제가 되었고, 연방정부는 필수의약품의 자국 내 생산·공급을 확대하기 위한 행정 명령을 발표하고 이행에 들어갔다. 우리나라도 의약품 공급 중단을 관리하고 필수의약품의 공급을 안정화하기 위한 체계를 구축하고 있는바, 미국의 관련 동향을 통해 시사점을 얻을 수 있다.
