dc.description.abstract	- 질병 발생의 경제적 영향을 파악하기 위해 이 글에서는 중증질환 진단을 받는 경우와 15일 이상 입원하는 경우를 건강충격으로 정의하고, 건강충격을 경험한 집단과 그렇지 않은 집단의 경제활동 및 경제 상태 변화를 비교하였음. - 질병을 경험한 경우, 개인 수준에서 소득이 감소하고 소득이 최저임금보다 낮은 사람의 비율이 증가하였음. 가구 수준에서는 가구 근로소득이 감소한 반면 가구 총소득은 증가하였는데, 이는 근로 외 소득 증가와 관련이 있었으며 특히 민간보험소득의 영향이 컸음. - 이러한 결과는 경제활동 연령층이 질병을 앓게 되면 실직이나 소득 상실을 경험할 수 있는데 주로 사적 자원을 이용하여 이와 같은 위험에 대응함을 보여 줌. 가용 자원이 부족하거나 질병이 장기화되면 빈곤으로 이어질 수 있다는 점에서 관련 정책 대안 모색이 필요함을 시사함.
