dc.description.abstract	아동수당제도는 어린 자녀를 둔 부모에게 일정 수준의 현금을 지급함으로써 국가가 아동에게 최저한의 인간다운 생활을 보장하는 보편적인 복지정책이다. 전 세계적으로 빈곤 아동 감소와 저소득 가정의 복지에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 평가받는 아동수당제도는 영국에서는 1945년경 시작되었다. 그러나 이러한 아동수당제도는 영국의 복지정책이 보편적 복지정책에서 조금씩 멀어지는 가운데 정치적 환경에 따라 변화해 왔다. 이 글에서는 영국 아동수당정책의 역사와 2010년, 2015년에 이뤄진 개혁내용을 간략히 살펴보고, 브렉시트(Brexit)와 최근 영국 총선이 아동수당정책에 어떤 영향을 미칠 것인지 알아보고자 한다.
