| dc.description.abstract | 이 연구는 한국의 사회통합 수준 진단 목적으로 사회통합 지수를 개발하고, 이에 더하여 서로 다른 가중치를 부여한 지수를 비교함으로써 사회통합 수준 측정에서 가중치 적용의 의미를 확인하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 전문가 조사를 활용하여 4개의 사회통합 하위 영역을 설정하고 각 영역을 대표할 수 있는 19개의 지표를 선정한 후, 영역별 지표별 가중치를 적용하여 사회통합 지수를 산출하였다. 2015년 기준 사회통합 지수를 살펴보면, 서베이 가중치 방식에서는 한국은 30개국 중 29위, 동일가중치 방식에서는 28위, 수리적 가중치 방식에서는 24위를 보였다. 이러한 사회통합 지수의 차이는 우리나라가 낮은 발전 수준을 보이는 사회적 포용 영역에 적용되는 높은 서베이 가중치의 영향, 그리고 상대적으로 양호한 수준을 보이는 노동소득분배율 및 교육성취도에 적용되는 높은 수리적 가중치의 영향 때문이었다. 본 연구를 통해서 주관성의 측면을 강조한 지수 구성의 의미와 당면한 사회현실을 반영한 지표 체계 구성의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to develop a social cohesion index by adopting different weighting methods in order to measure the level of social cohesion in Korea in comparison with other OECD countries from various angles. For this purpose, this study defined social cohesion in terms of four sub-dimensions and 19 indicators by using the Delphi method. We also adopted three different weights of dimensions and indicators: equal weight, statistical weight and survey-based weight. Measured against the social cohesion index developed in this study, Korea is ranked 28th with equal weighting, 24th with statistical weighting, and 29th with survey-based weighting among a total of 30 OECD countries in 2015. Higher survey-based weight of social inclusion and higher statistical weight of labour share and education attainment cause the differences across the weighting methods. This result implies needs for composite index reflecting subjectivity and for constructing an indicator set reflecting social circumstances in our times. |
