| dc.description.abstract | 정부에 대한 신뢰를 형성하는 요인은 개인의 인구사회학적 특성이나 개인적 가치관 뿐 아니라 한 사회의 인센티브 구조, 사회문화적 요인, 조직형태 등 매우 다양한데, 본 연구에서는 사회의 공정성에 대한 인식에 초점을 맞추어 공정성에 대한 인식과 정부신뢰와의 관계가 어떠한지를 살펴본다. 본 연구는 세계가치관조사(World Values Survey)를 이용하여 공정성에 대한 인식이 정부 신뢰에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 미시계량적으로 구명하였는데 조사대상 국가들 전체에 속한 모든 개인들 뿐 아니라 우리나라 국민들을 대상으로 정부에 대한 신뢰를 결정하는 요소들에 대해 추정해 보았다. 그 결과, 공정성에 대한 인식 그 중에서도 사회 내에서 기회의 평등이 보장된다고 생각하는 정도가 정부에 대한 신뢰수준에 매우 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 조사 국가 전체를 대상으로 한 분석 결과의 경우, 공정성에 대한 인식 중 소득분배의 불평등도에 대한 인식은 정부신뢰와 통계적으로 유의한 음(-)의 상관관계를 보였으나, 우리나라의 경우만 분석한 경우에는 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 그 외 (모형과 데이터종류에 따라 약간씩 차이를 보이기는 하나) 사회적, 정치적 참여도, 정치이념, 성별, 나이 등도 정부신뢰와 유의한 관계를 가지는 것으로 추정되었다. Trust in government is explained by many factors: demographic factors (such as gender and age), individual values, incentives, socio- cultural factors (such as religion), forms of social organization, among others. In this study, we focus on the perception on fairness. We use data in the World Values Survey and carry out micro- econometric analysis of trust in government. Our regressions indicate that fairness perception is very important in explaining trust in government. Among others, perception on the equality of opportunity is statistically significant; perception on income inequality is also statistically significant for the cross-country data set but not in the case of the Korean micro data set. The extent of social networking, the degree of political participation, political ideology, gender, and age are also found to be important as explanatory variables, although some variables are insignificant in some model specifications. |
