dc.description.abstract	2006년 도입된 ‘난임부부 지원사업’으로 보조생식시술을 통한 출생아의 수가 매년 증가하여 2013년 전체 출생아수의 3.3%를 차지함으로써 정부의 난임부부 지원사업은 저출산 시대에 출산율 증가에 기여하고 있다. 그러나 이들 중 40%는 다태아로 출생한바, 다태아는 모성의 건강을 위협하고 미숙아 및 저체중출생 등 고위험 대상으로 합병증 및 후유증의 위험이 따르고 의료비 부담증가를 초래한다. 때문에 다태임신감수술을 시행하기도 하는데, 태아에 대한 위험부담과 윤리적인 문제가 발생된다. 다태아 출산은 과배란 유도제의 사용과 체외수정 시술시 다배아 이식에서 비롯되는데, 임신성공 여부에 이식배아수가 유의하게 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타나 선진국에서는 강력하게 이식배아수를 규정하고 있다. 따라서 우리나라에서 5개 까지 이식할수 있는 배아수를 2개 이하로 규정할 필요가 있다. 또한 다배아 이식이 난임여성의 임신성공 확률을 높인다는 잘못된 인식을 개선하고 다태 임신의 위험성에 대한 교육을 병행할 필요가 있다
