dc.description.abstract	유엔에서는 국제사회의 빈곤문제를 타파하기 위하여 2000년부터 2015년까지 새천년개발목표(MDGs) 8가지를 추진한 바 있다. 올해 2016년부터 2030년까지 지속가능한 발전을 위하여 새로운 목표(SDGs)를 제시하였다. 총 17개로 구성된 SDG목표는 경제, 사회, 환경의 세가지 차원을 사람, 지구, 번영, 평화, 파트너쉽 등의 개념과 통합하여 부문별로 구체적인 하위목표를 포함하고 있다. 세계보건기구에 의하면 이 목표들 중 건강부문의 목표는 다른 사회경제적 목표들(빈곤, 불평등, 폭력 등) 과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 평가되고 있고, 성과평가를 위한 지표를 활용할 것이 권고되고 있다
