dc.description.abstract	초저출산으로 야기되는 초고령화 등 인구 변동은 필연적으로 사회 전반에 걸쳐 심각한 영향을 미칠 것이다. 인구 변동의 영향에 대한 정보가 부재하거나 미흡할 경우 그만큼 미래사회 위험은 커질 수밖에 없다. 초저출산과 초고령화에 따른 위험을 사전적으로 예방하거나 최소화시키는 전략을 치밀하게 수립할 수 없기 때문이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 초저출산과 초고령화 현상이 미래에 가져올 파급효과를 사회 제 측면(거시경제, 노동, 산업, 금융, 주택, 국방, 노후소득, 노인복지서비스, 농촌 등)에서 측정하고, 그 결과를 토대로 미래사회 위험을 명료화하고자 하였다. 아울러 초저출산현상 지속의 원인을 규명하여 인구변동에 따른 미래사회위험을 사전적으로 예방할 수 있는 전략 수립의 근거로서 제공하고자 하였다.
dc.description.abstract	Over the past half century, South Korea has experienced dramatic decline of fertility which will cause the rapid population aging in the future. Such a demographic change will have impacts on the future society in various ways. This study aims at measuring and diagnosing the socio- economic impact of the population change. The areas to be covered by the study include economic growth, industry, labor force, financing, housing, the old income security, social welfare services, national defence and rural society, etc. An analysis on the cause of lowest low fertility is also made for both demographic change and socio-economic aspects. Based on the results, directions for policy responses are suggested.
