dc.description.abstract | 2005년 11월 정부에서는 국가 비만관리 종합대책을 수립하여, 2010년 비만율 30% 이하를 목표로 설정하였다. 2010년 체질량지수 기준 비만 유병률은 남자 36.5%, 여자 26.4%로 여자의 경우 목표를 달성하였다고 할 수 있다. 2007~2009년 체질량지수 기준 비만 유병률은 여자 25.7%, 남자 35.7%이며, 여자의 저체중(체질량지수 18.5 미만) 유병률은 6.9%, 남자의 저체중 유병률은 3.5%였다. 남성에 비해 여성에서 전체적인 비만 유병률이 낮기는 하나, 65세 이상 노인에서는 여성노인의 비만유병률이 남자 노인보다 높고, 19~24세 젊은 남성의 저체중 유병률이 6%인데 비해, 동일 연령군의 여성은 저체중 유병률이 17.5%에 달한다. 젊은 여성의 불충분한 신체활동, 잦은 식사 결식, 왜곡된 신체이미지가 저체중에 영향을 주는 것으로 생각된다. 젊은 여성의 저체중은 여성 자신의 건강에 좋지 않을 뿐만 아니라 임산부가 저체중일 경우 태아의 건강에 부정적인 영향을 줄 수 있으므로, 여성의 저체중에 대한 정책적 관심이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. |
