dc.description.abstract	본 연구는 노년기 장애수준에 영향을 미치는 지역사회환경의 특성을 살펴보고자 개인 수준의 노인실태조사 2011년 자료와 지역사회수준의 251개 시군구 국가통계자료를 결합하여 다층분석(Hierarchical Linear Model)을 실시하였다. 연구대상은 2011년 노인실태조사에 참여한 65세 이상 노인 총 8,902명으로 남성이 3,642명(40.9%), 여성이 5,260명(59.1%)이다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 여성보다 남성인 경우가, 학력수준이 높아질수록, 가구소득이 증가할수록, 주관적 건강상태를 부정적으로 인지할수록, 인지기능이 낮을수록 노년기 장애수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역별 노년기 장애수준이 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 노인이 거주하는 지역의 사회경제적 수준이 낮을수록 노년기 장애수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 노인이 거주하는 지역에 설치된 노인여가복지시설의 수가 적을수록 노년기 장애수준이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구결과를 통하여 개인수준의 영향을 통제한 이후에도 지역사회의 사회경제적 수준과 자원이 노년기 장애수준에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있으며, 나아가 노년기 장애 악화를 지연시키기 위해서는 지역사회 차원의 다각적인 접근이 필요함을 제시하고 있다.
dc.description.abstract	The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of community environment factors on ADL/IADL disability in the Korean old adults. This study uses the Survey of Living Conditions and Welfare Needs of Korean older Persons in 2011 as individual?level and 251 local government data from KOSIS(Korean Statistical Information Service) as community?level. Hierarchical Linear Model is used to combine individual?level data with community-level data. Samples consist of 3,642(40.9%) men and 5,260(59.1%) women aged 65 above. As the results, first, disability in later life is associated with sex, education, family income, subjective health and cognitive functioning. Second, there is statistically significant difference in disability score by the local community. The increase of disability is related with the decline of the economic status and the decrease of the number of welfare facilities for the aged in their community. These findings reveal that community?level factors affect the disability in later life after controlling individual?level factors. This study underscores the need for attention in the community environment where older people live to postpone the deterioration of disability in later life.
