dc.description.abstract | 미국 내 건강 불평등에 대한 국가적 관심과 개입은 미국의 향후 10년간의 의료 계획인‘Healthy People’과 매년 의회에 보고되는「미국 의료의 질과 불평등에 관한 보고서(National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report, NHQR & NHDR)」에서 찾아볼 수 있다.‘ Healthy People 2020’은 건강 불평등의 제거와 건강 평등의 실현을 하나의 목표로 명시하고 있으며, 건강 불평등에 관한 보고서(NHDR)는 미국 사회의 건강 불평등 실태와 불평등이 완화(제거)된 정도를 분석하고 건강 불평등을 없애기 위해 가장 주력해야 할 핵심 영역을 제시하는 것에 중점을 두어 작성되고 의회에 보고되어 미국 의료정책의 방향을 설정하는데 있어서 중요한 영향을 미친다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. 본고에서는 NHDR에서 사용된 건강 불평등지표들을 중심으로 살펴보고 한국 사회에 주는 시사점에 관해 논하고자 한다. |
