| dc.description.abstract | 본 연구는 요양병원 간호사와 요양보호사의 노인의 성에 대한 지식과 태도를 알아보기 위해 시도된 서술적 조사 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 현재 광주광역시와 전남ㆍ전북 지역에 소재한 3등급 이상의 6개 요양병원에서 근무하고 있는 간호사와 요양보호사로 연구의 취지를 이해하고 의사소통에 장애가 없으며, 본 연구에 자발적으로 참여하기를 동의한 간호사 150명과 요양보호사 156명의 총 306명을 편의 표출하였다. 본 연구 결과, 간호사에 비해 요양보호사의 노인 성에 대한 지식과 태도가 낮음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 노인 간호서비스의 질을 높이기 위해 우선적으로 요양보호사의 개별적 특성과 교육수준에 초점을 맞춘 교육 프로그램 제공이 필요하다. 또한 대상자들이 인지하는 노인 성에 대한 태도는 허용적으로 나타났으나 실질적으로 실무에서도 허용적인 태도를 보이는지 인터뷰를 통한 질적 연구를 시행함으로써 대상자들이 설문에서 얻을 수 없었던 성에 대해 갖고 있는 좀 더 깊은 생각을 알아보고 그에 따른 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 심층 연구가 필요하다. |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to compare knowledge of, and attitudes towards sexuality of the elderly among nurses and caregivers in long-term care hospitals. The subjects were total 306 including 150 nurses and 156 caregivers in six long-term care hospitals. It used the Aging Sexual Knowledge and Attitudes Scale (ASKAS) developed by White (1982) and translated by Moon (2004) in order to measure the knowledge. The attitudes were measured by the instrument developed by Kim and Lee (2000) and revised by Jeong (2010). Data was collected from September to October 2012 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation in SPSS 18.0. As a result of the research, there were significant differences in the knowledge of and attitudes towards sexuality of the elderly between nurses and caregivers in long-term care hospitals. Nurses and caregivers in long-term care hospitals showed significant positive correlations between knowledge of and attitudes to the sexuality of the elderly. As the caregivers in long-term care hospitals showed lower level of knowledge on the sexuality of the elderly than the nurses, they should be given a proper educational program. |
