dc.description.abstract	□ 보건.복지 측면에서 국민 삶의 질을 종합하는 나타내는 지수를 개발하여 우리나라 국민들의 삶의 질 수준의 위치 파악과 아울러 향후 보건복지, 사회정책 방향의 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 함 ○ 유사한 횡단면 자료의 반복적 축적이 아닌 시계열 측면에서의 자료 축적을 통하여 부문별 지표군을 체계적으로 분류하고, 최종적으로 이들을 하나로 아우르는 종합지수를 작성하고자 함
dc.description.abstract	Nowdays the ultimate goal for the welfare state is to improve the quality of life. In the past, international comparison based upon per capita GDP was the most popular, but composite indexes which encompassing happiness and/or environment are getting more popular. In spite of this line of efforts, not all the researchers and/or policy makers are happy with it. That is because it is quite hard to get agreement regarding the individual components that constitute the composite indexes. To make things worse, as time goes by, subjective satisfaction has been changing. For example, there was no such severe protest in an era of fast growth, but nowdays, when we spent the highest social expenditure, people are not satisfied with the current status of social welfare, and thus the desire for the social benefits grows continuously. In this research, international comparison of the health and welfare for the 30 OECD countries was carried out. Specifically, individual components for each sector are compiled in objective and systematic way, and then these are combined to get the composite indexes for the health and welfare.
